What time and TV channel is Leinster v Glasgow Warriors on in the Champions Cup (2025)

Leinster's 62-0 demolition of Harlequins at Croke Park let everyone know that they mean business as we reach the business end of the season.

Quins were very poor and threw in the towel early, regardless of head coach Danny Wilson's claim that Leinster were too well resourced for his Premiership side to cope.

So while there was plenty of shock and awe over Leinster's attacking play after a strong start defensively to keep their opponents from scoring, there is a feeling that they have yet to be seriously tested as they plot a path to the final in Cardiff.

Glasgow should provide a sterner examination of their credentials. Interestingly, the sides haven't met since October 2023, when the Warriors claimed an early season 43-25 victory with Leinster's frontliners away on World Cup duty.

The Scottish outfit are the reigning URC champions and table-toppers Leinster's closest chasers at the top of the table this season, so they have shown real consistency over the past 18 months.

It was Quins who knocked the Warriors out at the last 16 stage last season while they didn't qualify for Europe's premier club competition the previous season via the URC.

This time around Glasgow beat Leicester very comfortably to set up their trip to Dublin. Franco Smith's side are the top scorers in the URC this season, with 423 points, and are renowned for looking to move the ball wide whenever possible.

Stretch

Whether that will be enough to stretch Leinster's now well-honed defensive structure is another thing. The province has not conceded a try in open play in their last three outings - and two of those were with the second string in South Africa.

Leinster have also selected Jordie Barrett from the start, after he came off the bench last week, and his centre partnership with Garry Ringrose should cause Glasgow a lot of problems.

Leo Cullen's side have had the shorter turnaround - six days compared to seven - and that is reflected in six changes from last week's line-up, including a switch of skipper with Jack Conan in for Caelan Doris, a completely changed front row and a first European start for winger Tommy O'Brien. But the Blues should have plenty in the tank to progress to a semi-final in Dublin.

Leinster: Hugo Keenan, Tommy O'Brien, Garry Ringrose, Jordie Barrett, James Lowe, Sam Prendergast, Jamison Gibson-Park; Cian Healy, Ronan Kelleher, Tadhg Furlong, Joe McCarthy, RG Snyman, Max Deegan, Josh van der Flier, Jack Conan (captain).

Replacements: Dan Sheehan, Andrew Porter, Rabah Slimani, Diarmuid Mangan, Caelan Doris, Luke McGrath, Ross Byrne, Robbie Henshaw.
